Lee and Russ called us out to Tattenhall marina, Cheshire to drain contaminated fuel from their gorgeous modern Narrowboat!
The way the fuel tank and wooden deck were installed it was allowing water to pass between them and enter the fuel tank this had caused the central heating to fail, thankfully the engine was protected by a water trap!
Using our portable ATEX approved fuel drain kit we were able to get close up to the boat and drained the full tank of diesel/water mix and then ensured there was no sediment left in the bottom of the tank before refilling with fresh fuel and checking the operation of the heating.
